A lovely Mexican Bola, also known as a ‘harmony ball' or ‘angel caller’. This traditional chiming pendant is steeped in hundreds of years of Mayan history. The spherical pendant contains a small bell that emits subtle but audible chimes with movement, to soothe their babies during pregnancy. Once born the same chimes are said to be a reassuring and familiar sound to the baby, reminding them of the security of the womb.

Mexican women gave their ‘Bolas’ the sweet nicknames of 'angel caller' or 'angel whisperer' as the subtle chiming sounds of the pendant are said to act as a reminder for a guardian angel to watch over us, and in a moment of need the chime can be gently shaken and the guardian angel will come to their side.

The Bola is on a 30 inch, 76 cm silver plated chain.
